Comfortable Right Out of the Box!
My feet have absolutely NO arches! When I walk across the concrete garage with wet feet, my feet make this “sucking” sound because I have no arches–and my wet footprints show the entire flat foot. So, I thought that I would suffer with painful feet for the rest of my life. I was desperate to find shoes that would take away the foot and ankle pain, so I ordered these as a last resort. Received these shoes and wore them for the first time today. They were light, comfortable, and easy to wear (I got the v-strap walkers in black). There’s ample space in the toe box, and although the walkers are lightweight, there’s good foot support. I bought a wide shoe in a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear because I need to put in orthotics.Am looking forward to walking all over Europe in these shoes in two weeks. Can’t believe that they were completely comfortable RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! No break-in time needed! How’s that for a perfect walking shoe! Too, too awesome!

most comfortable shoe
I am writing this review after having owned these shoes for two years. They have been positively the best, most comfortable shoe I have owned and am now thinking of buying them again even though they are still in good shape.I originally bought these because I have a pronation problem with my feet which tend to roll inward in many type of shoes. These shoes keep my feet from pronating and offer support and super cushioning so my feet never get sore.I am 37 and don’t mind the look of these shoes as some do. I like the ease of the Velcro as well. These shoes can be a little warm in summer if you are out walking. They are perfectly fine the rest of the year though.

Warm, but comfortable
I am so picky about my shoes and as I age, it gets even more difficult to find real comfort to work in. These are the best I have found so far. My only complaint is they are a little warm without much ventilation. I suggest an odor killer type item to keep them fresh. Very comfortable and supportive for long hours standing on my feet.

I wear medical orthotics in my athletic shoes to provide arch support. Because I also need a shoe that is a stabilizer, I have tried hundreds of dollars worth of different shoes in recent years, trying to find a comfortable and appropriate shoe design to accomodate my changing needs, especially now that I’m in my 60s and have recently had two total knee replacements. Finally, I think I have found shoe heaven for me! These shoes handily allow my orthotics while providing extremely comfortable support. I also decided on the velco closures, rather than the usual shoelaces and again, shoe heaven! No more having to retie my shoes constantly (whether the loosening results from my orthotics or walking style, I don’t know) but now it’s not an issue. I am thrilled with my shoes and can tell they will take me many miles in supportive comfort! Finally!!!

I love these shoes!
I bought these shoes a few months ago and I love them! They are not fashion forward but I needed comfortable, sturdy walking shoes with arch support for a trip to Europe where we expected to be doing a lot of walking. I typically wear a medium width size 8. I purchased these a half size larger since I know Brooks shoes ran a little small. The Velcro straps made adjusting the snugness a snap and I never had to worry about the laces coming untied. The fit was so comfortable even after miles of walking. Despite a lot of use, they still look good!

Stitching was not even on inside of one shoe. Hurt my foot just when tried on.

Velcro looks clunky – look like Frankenstein shoes
I really like the feel of these, and the support. However, they are very clunky looking – the velcro sticks out over the edge of the shoe and makes my feet look like big clodhoppers.

No more foot pain
I stand on my feet for eight hours each day at work. Without sounding like a whiner, I literally suffered the last two hours of each shift. Feet hurt, ankles hurt, calves sore, knees very painful. I have tried so many different shoes in the past and none have made any difference. These shoes ROCK!! No foot, ankle, leg or knee pain after the full eight hour shift. The Velcro straps are perfect for me as I have one foot with a larger area near the great toe due to arthritis. The straps allow me to adjust the fit for that. I cannot say enough about how wonderful these shoes are for me. I recommend these for anyone with any foot malady. Thank you Brooks!!

Achetées il y a presque deux ans, j’apprécie le confort, la légèreté, la solidité. Je ne les ai jamais senties à mes pieds, je suis comme dans des chaussons. Elles sont parfaites. Bien sûr, ce ne sont pas des chaussures pour aller danser ou faire la belle, mais ce sont d’excellentes chaussures de marche. Je les ai achetées en 40.5 mais leur forme arrondie ne me fait pas des pieds immenses, au contraire. J’ai tendance à fatiguer , principalement le bas du dos, avec cette semelle et la cambrure parfaite, je peux marcher des heures sans la moindre peine. A noter la bonne isolation, due justement à l’épaisseur de la semelle. Je les recommande et serais ravie de pouvoir les acheter dans une autre couleur…J’espère que cela sera possible un jour.

Ugliest trainers I’ve ever worn but hands down the absolute best and most comfortable. Recovering from a broken foot – these have made it possible to get back on two feet and get around.

Porto 39 e ho preso 39, che si è rivelato il numero giusto. Sono le scarpe più comode che ho. Le ho prese per le lunghe passeggiate con il mio cane: con altre scarpe da ginnastica se cammino più di 10 km mi fanno un po’ male i piedi, ma con queste i piedi non si affaticano per niente. L’unico problema è che sono proprio brutte… larghe e grandi. Ma per la comodità meritano comunque 5 stelle. Essendo rimasta molto contenta di queste scarpe, ho comprato anche un altro paio di scarpe Brooks Addiction, grigie, con i lacci, che trovo altrettanto comode ma più belle.
