I’ve been using both of these for a couple months now and I love them both. They were perfect for summer months when my other products were too heavy/rich. Curious to see how the moisturizer is with cold weather coming and also use of tretinoin, since it seems pretty lightweight.

Long time Elta MD user -first time moisturizer trial
I’ve been using Elta MD sunscreen for around 24 years. I always get the 46 spf and it’s great for the face. When I received this package I was a bit surprised that this was a tinted version. However, when I put it on my face, I was relieved to find the tint isn’t at all noticeable in the least. It’s basically the same product and while perhaps it slightly evens out skin tone, the effect is extremely subtle and nothing like makeup foundation or anything like that.As for the moisturizer, it is very light and and refreshing in the morning. It has Willow bark extract to improve skin’s exfoliation and niacinamide, which purportedly helps diminish the appearance of dark spots from UV damage without clogging pores. I like this moisturizer and will continue using it.Elta MD is a name I have grown to trust over the decades I have been using their sunscreens. This moisturizer appears to be up to the same standards. While there may be less expensive alternatives, in my opinion Elta MD stands as the go to face sunscreen product. FYI: It was recommended to me by my ex-dermatologist, Dr Cynthia Bailey (she retired,) who has her own excellent line of skin care products. So she knows well of which she speaks.Highly recommended
