This is a good value for a very nice, good quality real 100% Mulberry silk pillow case that is reversible in color.It’s rated to be 100%, authentic 100% Mulberry silk. Note that silk is a natural insect product so it is not vegan. Also note that they do not list it to be cruelty free.I do believe it is real silk by the look and feel. I have several other real silk pillowcases, caps, scarves and quite a bit of silk clothing. The silk is nice, good quality and has a good softness, texture and weave. The stitching is fine, well done and isn’t rough.Do understand that it is a reversible pillowcase. One side is gray in a pale gray the other side is whichever color variation you pick. Mine was ebony on one side, gray on the other side. You won’t have the color you pick on both sides, just one side with gray on the opposite side.The size is standard for standard pillows not over-sized or body pillows. The size is 29” x 19”. Measure your pillow to be sure it will fit.They do state you can wash it in a washing machine on cold water and with mild detergent. I wash my silk pillowcases in cold water with mild detergent, with no fabric softener (in washer or dryer) and tumble dry in a dryer on low.It does come safety sealed in a plastic bag. It also comes with a tag on the pillowcase.The carton it comes in is very attractive and decorative and is nicely presented.I didn’t notice any odor to it. I would consider it safe for those sensitive to scents.I would also suggest, though it’s not included, getting a silk eye mask for sleeping as well.I’s also suggest that if you like to put your hair up protectively during sleep getting silk hair scrunchies or hair caps or bonnets as they are worth it vs satin. (not included)I’ve used satin pillowcases, eye masks and caps before I switched to silk and the silk is much nicer and worth it. You have less face wrinkles from sleeping on the pillow when you wake up, silk is also softer and cooler to the touch. Silk also helps with hair frizz and skin irritation from friction with your pillow.

One Sided Luxury
I got this silk pillowcase for traveling. I am really like the benefits of how it feels on my face and how it prevents tangling in my hair. I was a little disappointed when I realized that this was only mulberry silk on one side of the pillowcase, however, I do appreciate that it has a cusp inside to help secure the pillow on it so that it is easy to keep in place. Also with this different texture on the downside it does stay on the bed a little easier. I would have expected a little different price point since it is only half of the pillow case though.Washing it was super easy and I found did not make much of a difference after being out into the dryer.I really like that it comes in a very nice package for gift giving, which will come in handy for the future.Since this is only a travel pillow I am happy with it.

Owning a silk pillowcase is no longer an unattainable luxury. They have become more affordable and now’s your chance you nab one or two. This pillowcase will change your life especially if you suffer from eczema and acne. Your face will be calmer and if you have wrinkles you will see less. It’s pointless to buy expensive cream without using a silk pillowcase because you will waste your money. Cotton absorbs and silk doesn’t so you will end up spending less $$ in the end. Although this doesn’t state the momme count it feels higher. The pillowcase is thick and well made. You can easily wash it on delicate and air dry then iron on low setting. This will fit your standard size pillow too. The pale pink is absolutely gorgeous and you will love it. It comes in a nice box with you can gift. This is a great deal!

Only one side is silk!
As soon as I opened up this “100% Mulberry Silk” pillowcase, I could tell that the two sides were made of very different fabric. The front side felt like a nice silk satin, while the grey fabric on the back felt like artificial silk, maybe polyester. I found the care tag inside, and sure enough, it says “Side A: 100% mulberry silk, Side B: lyocell fiber”. Lyocell is a semi-synthetic fabric made of wood pulp. After discovering this, I looked through the listing again and nowhere does it say that only one side of the pillowcase is silk. At this price point for a single pillowcase, I would expect a “100% mulberry silk” pillowcase to actually be 100% made of silk!On the positive side, the “apricot” color is accurately shown on the listing photos (even though it’s actually a champagne color, not apricot at all.) The one side that is silk feels good quality, and the sewing is neatly and professionally done. The pillowcase comes in a very attractive gift box, but I personally would not give this as a gift because the fact that it isn’t all made of silk is disappointing.

It’s the real deal—on one side—but that’s okay!
First, purchasers should understand that this is a hand wash only item. That should not be a surprise with silk, but just in case it’s your first time, now you know.Second, the silk is on one side of the pillowcase, and the other side is a different fabric. I understand some people aren’t happy with this, and I completely understand their perspective, but I’m going to offer a different perspective: if both sides of the pillowcase were real silk, the side that was rubbing against the other bedding would wear down faster, could thin, and you’d get less life from the pillowcase. Additionally, I’ve had silk pillowcases in the past, as well as satin ones, and they can be hard to keep on the bed. That slip is good for the hair and skin, but not so good when you have to go and find your pillow every morning. This is a good compromise so you can have high-quality silk without the downsides.The color of the pillowcase is a little less crisp than I expected, but it’s still very nice, and let’s face it, it’s going to be in the dark and my eyes will be shut. No issues with wrinkles yet, but we’ll see how it does with repeated hand washing.A nice product, well made.
