Happy skincare routine
This is my second vitamin c skincare product and I’m glad to say I won’t be switching to another one. Before, I tried a Korean vitamin c cream but didn’t notice any effect from it whatsoever.Prequel has brought me the nicer-quality serum that I need. I love that Dr. Sam Ellis makes this important skincare staple both approachable and affordable.It’s very liquidy so it took me a few tries to get the hang of application. I tried pumping several drops directly onto my face like some people do—but I have sensory issues and dislike that feeling.What I do is make a “cup” with the palm of my hand and pump 1-2 pumps of product into it so it pools. I dip my ring finger to get some of the serum and then apply it in large “dots” onto my forehead, then repeat the finger/dot method for my cheeks, chin, neck and nose. Then I use my fingers to collect remaining product from my palm and use them to rub in all of the “dots” evenly.I have dry skin. In my experience this serum is not sticky or tacky after applied. It feels smooth, plump and nice. The smell is a bit strange but I don’t mind it and it goes away after a few minutes. I usually wait 2-5 mins before applying my moisturizer and sunscreen to let it soak in.I will say you should apply this to bare skin always. I accidentally applied it over some leftover self-tanner lotion on my face and it was extremely itchy and uncomfortable all day. Use it as the first step for daily routine and you’ll be good to go.

Great brightening effect but does smell like hot dog water
This is a great product. It does smell like hot dog water and feels a bit sticky for a few minutes after applying. I watch Dr Sam Ellis on YouTube (the owner of prequel) and I’ve heard her and other dermatologists say that good skincare without added fragrance may smell like science not roses – hence the hot dog water smell. It gives my skin a nice glow and does not irritate my acne. If you can wait a few minutes after applying and prefer a fragrance free good vitamin C serum – this one is awesome

Gentle and Effective Vitamin C, Tricky Pump Design
Prequel’s Skin Lucent-C serum has been a great addition to my morning skincare routine. My skin tolerates it very well with no irritation. The texture is thin and light, so it layers very nicely under moisturizer or sunscreen without pilling. I’ve noticed my skin looks smoother and a bit firmer after regular use.I’m giving it four stars mainly because of the packaging and scent. Even a tiny press on the pump releases too much product, and the smell isn’t great. The smell does fade quickly after applying, but it’s not pleasant. Still, the formula itself is impressive, with L-ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, and niacinamide working together to brighten and even out my skin tone. I will put up with the smell because it’s such a great product.If you’re looking for a gentle yet effective Vitamin C serum that delivers glow without irritation, this one is definitely worth trying. Just go easy on the pump. Also, when you are trying a Vitamin serum for the first time, start off using it 2-3 times a week to see how your skin reacts before using on a daily basis. 🙂

Not Bad But Not For Me
I have been using this for a few months now and feel that I can give a good review. First this is a high percentage of Vitamin C so I do not recommend it for someone who is new to using Vitamin C. I am not a newbie by any means and this still irritated my skin a little until it got used to it. I started with every couple of days until I was able to work up to every day. It’s effective but I will be honest and say it does smell like hot dog water so if you can get past that then it’s a decent Vitamin C serum but I think I will go back to using Roc Vitamin C. I just prefer the thicker serum and it was gentler on my skin.

Great product
I love this product..I’ve tried alot of different vit c serums over the years and this is the best one I’ve tried. The price is good compared to some of the more high end brands and the product is comparable. I like that is has a pump style bottle wich keeps the vit c active..unlike other products that have a dropper style bottle. The product feels good in my skin .it tingles a bit and feels like it’s nourishing my skin. My skin looks brighter and feels smoother.

Favorite Vit-C
I have tried a bunch of vitamin c serums that have ranged in prices high and low, this is one of the best I have used. I have finally noticed fading in my scars and spots. My skin feels super hydrated when I use this. The only thing I will say is a little goes a long way and if you use too much it can be a little greasy

Worth the buy, but the bottle is awful.
This works great you can see how much it brightens, and is very light weight. It definitely makes the texture of your skin better. The only problem is the bottle. It leaks, every time you use it, which makes me not want to purchase it again. They need to fix the bottle so it doesn’t do this.
