Perfect hiking shoe
Size up a half size. Great shoe with the perfect amount of grip when hiking or walking on slippery areas. My boyfriend swore by these shoes and told me I had to get some for hiking and I am glad I did.

Sturdy light hiker!
Comfort out of the box. Not a cushy shoe. This is a nice sturdy lightweight hiker! Great for day hikes and travel due to it being so lightweight!

Salomon Women’s Trail Shoes
These shoes themselves are a five star shoe! The sizing is not what I was hoping for, so I took a star off. They do run large. I wear a 7.5 or 8 in shoes, so I chose the 8, thinking that I would be wearing socks with these for trail hikes. Unfortunately, they run really large. Even with two pairs of socks, these were WAY too big. I am utterly crushed about it, too, because I do love the look and feel of these shoes. I love how they have the kind of lace that does not come untied. The colors are cute and stylish. The soles are thick and supportive without being overly heavy. These are great shoes. They just don’t fit. My suggestion is that if you are on the fence as to size, size down.

Smashed heel
They look good and have the Salomon quality. But this pair? The heels seemed smashed in. They did not fit like the rest of ones I usually purchase. Sent them back

I always wear a 9 but these seem a bit large in the foot area but not the length, a bit wide. I find them difficult to adjust without actual show laces. So far they have proven to keep my socks dry.

Solid hikers
I’ve been slowly ticking off the 48 4K footers, and I picked these up for some of the muddier peaks this October. They’re tanks- super durable and handle wet conditions like a champ. The Gore-Tex membrane is no joke; I hiked in steady drizzle and stayed completely dry. The grip on rocks and roots is excellent, and I never once felt like I was going to slip, even with a full pack.My only issue is the fit. I have wide feet, and these definitely run on the narrower side. The snugness is fine at first, but after a few hours, it starts to pinch pretty decent. It’s also a bit stiffer through the sole, which is great for stability but not as comfortable if you like a more natural stride.Still, I can’t knock the performance. They’re reliable, waterproof, and well-made. If your feet are more average width or you like that close, locked-in fit, these could easily be your go-to trail runners. For me, they’ll stay as a backup pair for rainy, rugged hikes. Also, size down on these for length.
