The fit is absolutely perfect, and the arch support feels wonderfully supportive, making them a pleasure to wear. They’re incredibly comfortable to walk in, even for extended periods. The tread is outstanding, providing excellent traction and grip. The quality of the materials is top-notch, and they hold up beautifully, even on wet trails. These shoes are built to last and perform exceptionally well in all conditions—highly impressed!

Fantastic trail running shoe
I have been training for my first 35k and needed new trail shoes only 3 weeks out from race day. I tripped an abnormal amount in my Altras and feared going into race day with this known issue. I ordered these with only one long run left in my training plan before a taper and the big day, strapped them on, and hoped for the best. I took them for a 10-mile cruise on their first wear, and they felt fantastic. They fit true to size, with zero tripping, and the lace mechanism places even pressure on the top of the foot with no chance of coming loose.On race day, my feet felt great. I finished my 22-mile run without any rubs, tripping, or soreness. Even though I was anxious about using something so essential and relatively new on race day, I have absolutely no regrets in hindsight. Highly recommend!

Comfortable Light Weight Running Shoe
I love these shoes because they are lightweight, have quick laces, are durable, and require no break-in period. Despite usually wearing a size 7.5, the size 7 fits me perfectly. While reviews on sizing are mixed, Salomon’s website leans towards sizing down. Choosing the size 7 turned out to be a great decision for me – they’re like a glove. I’m so satisfied that I’m contemplating getting another pair as a backup :). In any case, these shoes are fantastic for running in various conditions, whether it’s on trails, in the mud, or elsewhere. If, like me, you often find yourself searching for the ideal trail shoe, look no further – this is the one!

So far, so good..
Let me preface by saying I’m not an experienced hiker or runner. My husband and I just love to do a 4 1/2 mile trail near us for fresh air—and cardio. After reading reviews I decided on these. I wore them today and felt like a mountain goat. Wow! Now for my pros and con:Pro:*I love the tread. I felt confident climbing rocks and splashing in mud.*They feel really comfy on my feet. I wear a 10 normally so I ordered a 10. They are only about a half inch too big which is fine. I can wear thicker socks.*I like the narrow feel. I have narrow feet so seeing other wide looking trail runners concerned me. These are narrow and I felt I had room inside.*The mud rinsed off the bottom easily when we returned home.*My feet stayed dry, even after crossing a waterfall.Cons:*I would rather have regular shoestrings. I don’t like the thin drawstring situation. I’m afraid I’ll break them. They also didn’t stay tight the entire hike.*They are ugly. Ha! I haven’t found any that necessarily showcase my style so for the record, I think they’re all ugly.*I need more ankle support. I’m ordering the neoprene ankle support things.All in all, I think I’ll enjoy these. We hike 3-4 times a week so I will know soon. I will update if I find them not up to par for an inexperienced chick.

Super durable and great support! I own three pairs!
Love these shoes. They have great traction, arch support and are well made!! It’s the only brand I purchased in the last 5-7 years. I currently have three pairs and am looking for another only because it’s finally time to retire a pair after 4 years of hiking and walking. Highly recommend them.

Great shoe
I actually wear these for softball. I play travel ball and wearing a pair of cleats all day for several games is not ideal. These are very comfortable and work great. Well built and good grip

These are the first trail running shoe I’ve bought and I absolutely love them. They fit true to size but I bought a size larger than a street shoe. Totally love them and the traction is fantastic!

Der Speedcross 5 ist zwar ein Trailrunningschuh, aber ich liebe ihn Spaziergänge oder Wanderungen im Gelände. Wie auch bei Laufschuhen 1-2 Größen größer als normale Schuhgröße bestellen, damit die Zehen genug Platz haben und auch bergab nicht vorn anstoßen. Die Weite lässt sich super mit der flexiblen Schnürung regulieren. Beim Vorgängermodell hat mir die etwas breitere Laufsohle besser gefallen, da sie mehr Auflagefläche bietet und damit gerade im Fersenbereich mehr Stabilität gegen Umknicken.Aber alles in allem ein solider Schuh fürs Gelände.
