No White Cast, But Leaves a Tacky Feel
I’m always on the hunt for a daily facial sunscreen that won’t irritate my sensitive skin, so the Soomi Skin Centella formula seemed like a great fit. I’ve been using it for about a week, and it has some definite pros and cons.On the positive side, it’s completely invisible. It’s a lightweight cream that blends in instantly and leaves absolutely zero white cast, which is a must-for me. It just sinks in and gives my skin a hydrated, dewy look. However, the main claim of “no stickiness” just isn’t true in my experience. After I apply it, my face has a very tacky, almost sticky, finish that lasts for at least 10-15 minutes. It’s not a greasy feeling, but it’s noticeable. My other hesitation is the value. The bottle is 50ml, which isn’t a lot, and the price is on the higher end for that amount. It’s a good sunscreen that’s gentle and invisible, but given the tacky feel and the cost, I’m not sure it’ll become my go-to.

Gel like suncreen that leaves some tackiness and maybe unlisted scent?
I think the idea of a gel sunscreen is nice if it can deliver and actually absorb and not leave any traces of stickiness as gel tends to. Unfortunately, this Soomi sunscreen fails to do that. I applied the smallest amount on my skin to patch test and hours later it is still a bit sticky. Now as someone who uses sunscreen as my last layer of skincare, having a tacky face is not something I want from a gel product. If it were an overnight cream or something that is meant to really moisturize than I wouldn’t mind that lasting tackiness. Unfortunately, for a sunscreen that is supposed to be fast absorbing…it does absorb but also leaves tackiness. There is no white cast as it is a gel so there is that. There is a slight fragrance or scent that I cannot place based on the ingredients list. While I do appreciate that this does use the non-US based sunscreen active ingredients, the product is also made in the PRC (China) and not South Korea as you might think looking at this. The sunscreen is lightweight. It is gel so no heavy feeling…but the after feel of stickiness and the possibility of there being added fragrance that isn’t listed on the ingredients has me worried about depending this to work effectively. The price for the size of 1.7oz at $23 is a little higher than I would like to pay for something that I am not 100% sure of.

This is legit to me, but not the best it could be
This SOOMI Centella Sunscreen comes in a 50 ml tube at about $23, which puts it in the mid-market range. The formula is built on a mix of centella and barrier-friendly humectants (niacinamide, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, tremella, etc.), supported by an unusually advanced set of UV filters: Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, Uvinul A Plus, Uvinul T 150, and Mexoryl XL. These filters are widely regarded as highly photostable and effective, though it is worth noting that while they are considered top-tier in the EU and Asia, they are not widely used in the US.One useful detail for those that wonder about this product’s traceability is solved by searching “NDC 85473-442”. To me this helps provide some foundation anyway. The texture is a clear, slightly cloudy gel. It spreads easily and isn’t heavy, but it does leave a noticeable tacky film. On the face, I find this manageable. I don’t touch my face much, so the stickiness doesn’t bother me. On arms or legs, however, the sensation would be more obvious and irritating whenever skin rubs against itself. For me, that limits its use to facial application only.Overall, while the finish could be more elegant, the combination of advanced UV filters and skin-soothing extras makes the $23 price point fair enough. It isn’t the best value compared to more polished K-beauty sunscreens, but for those looking to access modern filters in a straightforward gel base, it’s a legitimate option.

Beautiful radiant glow
I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens, and this one has really impressed me! It gives excellent sun protection, applies smoothly, and leaves my skin with a healthy, radiant glow. I’ve worn it on hot, sunny days and never burned—even after hours outside. Broad-spectrum protection that actually works. Blends in nicely – no white cast at all (even on my darker skin tone). Hydrating and nourishing, not drying like some others. Great under makeup – it didn’t pill or feel heavy. The only thing I noticed is that it’s just a little sticky right after applying. It’s not a deal-breaker for me at all, and it tends to settle after a few minutes—but worth mentioning for those who prefer a super dry finish. All in all, this is a fantastic sunscreen that I’ll continue to use. The protection and glow far outweigh the slight stickiness, and I love how my skin looks and feels when I wear it. I usually end up using it anytime I’m going to the beach, hiking, camping or anything else that involves going outside!

Some downsides but overall interesting!
Pros-Super cute tube! Yes maybe kind of frivolous in plastic for cap but it’s aestheticClear- so cool! So tuly no issue with white cast and blends into all skin tonesVery petite bottle convenient for travel and purse (tho see cons..small)No added fragrance? Amazing! Ingredients read more like a skincare product than an SPF! (see cons tho)Cons-Very small amountIngredeint list not very clear on the actives here, I assume chemical filter but exactly what? A more official drug-style list might feel more appropriateValue for money not cheapTacky finish, following up with lotion helps but not sure if technically safe for sun — but makes like a primer which could be a pro!…but does smell scented sooo that makes me untrust the list of ingredients!
