Trail shoes
These trail shoes are great quality and feel very durable. The waterproofing works well. My feet stayed dry on wet trails after the rain, which is a big plus. They also have a secure, stable feel and good grip on mixed terrain. However, they do run large, and even as someone who usually needs a wider toe box, I still found the fit a bit roomier than expected. The shoes are also on the stiffer side when new, so I’d definitely recommend breaking them in before taking them on a long hike or run. The arch support was okay, but I usually add professional insoles to all my running shoes. They are a little bulky, better for hiking than running. The price is comparable to my other running shoes.

Good looking shoe
The Salomon Alphaglide trail running shoes are extremely light weight and have lots of cushion. I was surprised how light they were compared to other shoes I have worn.I ordered my normal size and they are probably a half size to big. My foot does not slip so I will be able to wear them. I have a flat arch in one foot and will need to use a different arch support due to the shoe only having minimal arch support for my foot. Others may find the arch support to be adequate. The shoes are waterproof and seem to be very durable. I am not sure of the amount of traction available on a wet surface due to the tread pattern. The shoe laces are not good. They are stretchy and make getting a tight fit difficult.Overall these are a nice shoe that can be worn for the trails or as an every day shoe.

Salomon Alphaglide trail running shoes run large
Sizing on these Alphaglides runs a half-size too large. I normally wear 8 ½ size running shoes, maybe even 9 sometimes since my feet run a little wider for some extra side cushion, but these trail running shoes were too big and there’s a lot of wiggle room in the toe box. They also seem narrow, but because of the larger sizing, I didn’t experience side pinching. Had I ordered the right size, it would’ve probably been too snug, as the interior has additional padding/cushion around the ankle area but doubles in keeping debris out.I did a light trail walk (under 3 miles) to break these in and experienced zero issues of rubbing or blistering. While I wouldn’t wear these trail running shoes because of the inadequate fit, they’re fine as just regular walking shoes, but these points stick out after the initial break-in period:– Love the color and overall style of the shoes.– They’re mid-lightweight, and the overall construction is sturdy and durable. However, the outsole is stiffer than the body. It should soften over time, though.– I have low arches and felt the arch support was appropriate and felt stable.– They’re noisy. Walking around the neighborhood, they make a popping noise, but you can’t hear it walking on the trail with dirt/soil crunching underneath.– There’s no grip on wet, slick rock, so crossing creeks is a super-slippery hazard.– Shoelaces are a little too long for my liking, almost comically so. When I’m running, I don’t like the excess shoelaces flopping around.

Fabulous Shoe But Runs Big
I have not owned a pair of Salomon brand hiking shoes previously, so I was excited to try these. I love the look with the dominant grey-tones accented by the blue zigzag detail. It’s a handsome-looking shoe with a feminine touch. The cushioning of the footbed and the heel support are amazing. Ditto the all terrain grip provided by the thick rubber soles. The shoes appear to be very well-made, durable and they are not overly heavy. I’m not a fan of high top hiking shoes, so I love the way the contour of these shoes fits around my ankles. There’s nothing negative for me to say about these shoes except for the sizing. I ordered my usual size and found that these run big. My foot does not fit snugly inside causing it to slide around way too much for comfort and safety. Other than this issue with fit, I really like these shoes so I’m going to try using inserts and socks to make the fit more workable for me.

Runs Wide and Feels Stiff
These Salomon Women’s Alphaglide Gore-Tex Trail Running Shoes are light weight and are slip resistant. I do like both the color and style of these shoes.I have a wide foot and wear a size 10. The toe box of this shoe is actually too wide for my foot. The toe box is also stiff and makes a popping noise when walking around. I’m not sure if this is because of the gore-tex or the rubber toe covers. The insole doesn’t have much cushioning and feels a little stiff. The arch support is what would normally be expected. But the biggest disappointment is that the interior stitching looks like it’s already pulling apart and I’m concerned these shoes are not going to hold up over time.

AMAZING for wide feet
THE most comfortable waterproof hiker for wide feet. I’m 32 peaks into the 48, and I’ve tried just about every hiking shoe out there for my wide toe box. These are the first pair that felt like a true relief to put on (that are waterproof). They’re soft, super flexible, and wide enough that I don’t get that toe pinch.Grip is great. Hiked in the rain and fully expected to slip at least once, but the traction held beautifully to where I didn’t even need to think about it. I still ended the day with dry socks. The flexibility is what really sets these apart, though, they bend with me instead of fighting back. I swear they feel broken in right out of the box- that comfort and response make all the difference.PLEASE try these if you’ve been searching endlessly and cant find anything else. 5/5.

Nice enough running shoe, but just average. nothing special at a decent price.
I’ve never owned Solomon shoes before so ordered my regular running shoe size 8. I would say these run a 1/2 size too large, and that a 7.5 would fit me best. They seem well made and I guess are fairly priced for running shoes these days. They seem comfortable and have average arch support (nothing special), although it’s a bit hard to tell exactly with them being a tad big. I currently have New Balance and would def stick with those over these.

Sehr gute Trailrunning / leichte Wanderschuhe. Bin super zufrieden.
